We got very bad experience about this cafe shop on three occasions First time, we waited for a long time at the counter but nobody wanted to serve us so we left. Second time (afternoon today), we realised only one customer in front of us so we didn’t take a ticket. Unfortunately, he took a long time to place an order and pay. Meanwhile, several customers arrived, the waitress ignored us and chose to serve those other customers. At this, we left again without any argument as we just wanted to buy a cold drink. At the third time (tonight), we searched for any dessert place after we had Indian food. Unfortunately , they were still open after 8:00, so we took a ticket and placed an order for desserts and coffees. But the waitress gave us a long face. When we were having coffee and desserts outside, we realised the waitress was smiling for the other customers. We feel upset. They don’t like tourist or they only like to serve locals?
In my conclusion, We are not recommending any tourist to try this so called cafe shop. They won’t...
Read moreMy hubby and I found this pastry shop by seeing lots of people when we passed by as we strolled along the beach! We wanted to get many things as everything looks so yummy and inviting, but since we had a dinner reservation already, we could only get a piece of 3 layers cake, an almond crips with coffees! How good? Let’s say, we skipped the dessert from the restaurant a d came back here for dessert after dinner, it was only around 7:30pm and most of the pastries/cakes were gone!! The gentleman (looks like the owner) was very nice and helpful with the recommendations, and also advised us that there are a lot more choice in the earlier of the day, so we are planning to come back the next morning for breakfast and to get the house specialities 😋 It was very busy and crowded and hard to get a table outside (which faces the beach), so 4* for...
Read moreDelicious Portuguese pastries, served right on the beachfront. Sun, sand, clean blue sea, and pastel de nata. What more could you want? Well, perhaps a beer. But still, this is your spot for great pasties on the beach. We ordered a number of different items to take away and enjoy on the sun loungers we rented which came in a convenient carry out cardboard box. There were dozens of various items to choose from, mostly sweet pastries. The true test for a Portuguese pastelaria though is their pastel de nata. Theirs was the best that I've had locally, crispy flaky pastry with still a soft gooey warm custard centre, amply filled. Go on, make your day better, pick up a few of these to enjoy after your dip in the sea. Only downside is the fairly long queue but it's worth it. There is a ticketing system though to help...
